#12 - Rollyo??
Welcome

Rollyo. To be honest I did not like Rollyo, I had a play around and I can see how it could be a useful site but I did not enjoy using and probably will not use it in the future. It is good to be aware of sites like this.
I would rather use a metasearch engine like dogpile.com.
Thanks for visiting.

#11 - It's a library thing!
Hello
It is definitely a library thing today. A way to catalogue your home library (and lets face it, we all have home libraries) is a dream come true to many.
I highly recommend taking the tour around library thing before you get started.
I have added some items into my library, feel free to have a look but I would not like to have to put in a large number of items as it would take a lot of time, having to type in details every time, you should be able to save a particular search, so you can use it to add a few titles quickly.
Go have a look (and a play!) for yourself.

By the way,I was very surprised to find out that there are many people with the hardcover copy of the Anita Blake comic. I didn't know it was so popular.

#7 - Blog about technology
Hello

I think this is an extremely hard blog to write about.
What is my favourite technology?? I have too many favourites, so I will just list a few of them for you...
1a. Computers. I have had access to a computer since I was about 5 (this is roughly 20 years). That doesn't mean I am very good with them, I couldn't fix one to save my life but I can surf the web, use eBay, write an excel or word document and save it etc.
1b. Computer programs especially itunes, games on PC, photo shop, the Internet, email and Google.
1c. Memory sticks instead of floppy disks. I love having a memory stick that can hold so much more information and is a lot more reliable than a floppy disks. The amount of problems I have had with floppies, lets just say that I still get angry thinking about it.
2. Digital cameras (with large memory cards). What can I say, I love being able to take lots of photos especially weird and wacky photos without having to delete tham or worry about the cost of printing them if they don't work. Oh and an the last holiday that I went, I was gone for 7 days and took about 700 photos with room to spare, not that they are all good photos but I like to have the bad photos too.
3.Mobile phones. I have a love/hate relationship with mobile phones. Texting is great until you start to use the shortened words in your everyday writing. I hate seeing people drive with the phones, also NO PHONES IN MOVIES or if you are out to dinner with company at least move away from the table!
4. Ipod. I love my Ipod, need I say more??

Well I could continue this on for quite a while but I think I will leave it there for today.

Thanks for visiting my learning 2.0 blog

RSS Feeds (Again!)
Hello

I just had to share this with everyone out there in learning 2.0 land, I found what I think is a very exciting but that could just be me. Who loves eBay?? I must admit, I am slightly *cough* addicted and just the other day I was browsing for Christmas presents, only 10 weeks to go yeah, and I noticed that after you have signed in and started your search you can get an RSS feed, how great is that???
I probably got a little over excited about that, I just needed to share my excitement.

That's it for now

Week 5 - Image Generator!

Hello and welcome to my week 5 of learning 2.0 - Image Generator. This week was definitely a play week. So many different image generators you are only bound by your imagination.

I have to say, there are some really strange image generators out there, I mean do we really need to know what our pimp name or motorcycle gang name would be??? However I did think my Emo was very cute (I am little worried about it having a razor blade though)

Here is a website I found useful in creating (by creating I mean playing) my image.

http://www.imagegenerator.org/

I really could of spent many hours just playing with the different generators but I will come back to this someday (I hope!).

Thanks for visiting

Week 4 - RSS feeds
Hello and welcome to this weeks exciting installment of learning 2.0 report on RSS feeds and newsreaders.

I really enjoyed setting up the RSS feeds in the blogsline.com, so many interesting feeds. My personal recommendations are the national geographic news (so sad about the wildebeasts) and dictionary.com word of the day, here is today's word bouleversement : complete overthrow; a reversal (I challenge you to use this word this week).

The podcast for this week was too long, I kept getting distracted! Overall, the RSS feeds could save a lot of time but it also sidetrack people who don't keep track of what they are subscribed to.

I have to go work now, so I will see you next week
