#22 - Audiobooks

An awareness of audio books has risen during the last few years, mainly due to the rise of MP3 players especially IPODs as well as memory sticks. The ease and convenience of being able to carry the large amount of information now has made audio books a more popular option.

The World Ebook Fair site is a great starting point to getting Ebooks for your own personal use, while Netlibrary and Overdrive could be beneficial to any public library. Before the introduction of Netlibrary or Overdrive it would be beneficial to the library to first find out who are using the audio books and if they are comfortable with technology as there would be no point in having a subscription if patrons will not use it.
The only drawback from World Ebook fair is its limited selection of titles.
