The Dead Sea Scrolls;

Were discovered in late 1946 or early 1947.

Are a collection of about 800 manuscripts made of leather, copper and papyrus.

The scrolls are mainly biblical texts, but also cover topics such as laws and legal documents.

The scrolls are written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

Are now located in the Israel museum in Jerusalem but English translations are available online and in book format.
